Pricing

Ordering on FoodieHub is free for students. Canteens pay a ₹100 sign-up fee and 5% commission on what they sell — the platform sustains itself on small, upfront charges that are shown before you pay, never after.
For students — free, always
- Browsing, ordering and tokens are free. The menu price is the price.
- Platform fee (₹10). Keeps the lights on. Shown before you confirm — if you don't see it, you aren't paying it.
- Delivery fee, where a canteen opts in. Set by the canteen per order, shown at checkout.
- Pay at the counter or online through Razorpay. FoodieHub never holds your money.
For canteens — 5% commission
- ₹100 sign-up, 5% commission on each sale. Charged on the food only — never on the delivery charge, tax or platform fee — and shown on your dashboard, never deducted quietly. Cancelled orders are reversed in full.
- Partner restaurants are on separate terms. No commission on food sales. A restaurant outside the campus is not admitted inside it, so every order is handed over at a gate and the restaurant sets its own flat delivery charge.
- Optional promotion slots. Featured banners and placements are paid per-day, approved by the campus admin, and settle through the same Razorpay flow as orders.
- Weekly payouts. Online earnings accrue to your canteen wallet; request a settlement any time and the admin pays out to your UPI or bank account.
- Cash stays cash. Counter payments never touch the platform — no reconciliation, no waiting.
Apply to bring your canteen on board — approval usually takes a day.
Refunds
Cancelled and failed orders are refunded to source: online payments return through Razorpay (typically 5–7 working days, depending on your bank), counter orders simply aren't collected. Canteen owners can issue full or partial refunds from the dashboard; every refund writes to the order timeline so there's never a dispute about what happened.
Questions about a charge?
Every bill breaks down item total, discount, delivery, tax and platform fee before you confirm — and the same breakdown lives on the order page afterwards. Any commission is shown on the same breakdown, so what the vendor keeps is visible rather than inferred. If something looks wrong, talk to us with your order token and we'll sort it out.
